Episodes 3: Chairty and Bones

http://www.mediafire.com/file/t8upxae3j0w3kxn/Episode3.mp3

This time we talked about Chairties! Yay for chairties and helping people!
So we talked about our Charity project from last year for Hugs for Haities. We also decided we would try and do baby work for our charity project. Knit things such as baby sweaters and blankets, mostly because we have so many friends having kids we figured we could use up all our baby yarn. Also some children don't really get much so a nice handknitted item would hopfully make them feel loved by us.

Then we go on to talk about whats on our needles.
Kristin: Almost done with her flipping baby blanket!!!
Katherine: Working on a pair of fecting gloves and need to finish Kristin's hat.

Also my birthday is Feb 20th!! (Katherine)

I'll be sure to add more later, I just wanted to post the episode as quickly as possible.

Epidsode 2: The Needles, The Name, and The Goals

We're back again with some great news!!

http://www.mediafire.com/file/teef40fjtm8lk2k/Episode2.mp3
(length 33:20)
Whats on the needles
Katherine- Hoodie Tunic, Quick Baby Socks by Double Ewe Yarn Shop, Classic Socks by Melissa Morgan-Oakes, just have to reknit that hat.
Kristin- still knitting that baby blanket but trying to convince her to knit me yoga socks!

We decided to go ahead and talk about needles which is of course the things you use to knit with so why not talk about them! We cover the different kinds of needles we've come across such as the Signature needles which look really sexy with their 3 different kinds of points and toppers you can get but we just don't really like metal. This probably has to do with the experience we had with the generic metal needles we both started out with. This of course leads us to bamboo needles which you can find in many different brands, which Kristin usually buys the Clovers. Then there are the Harmony needles that I love to death! Who wouldn't love needles that are hot and dangerous, sorry had to quote Kesha there. They really are great needles that I will soon get Kristin hooked on.

Now for our knitting goals!
Kristin: knit a cute cover up and learn to crochet
Katherine: knit Bo Peep by Lousia Sisson and Emma Haigh, destash down to a single tub, and..... I don't know I just go with the flow :)

Here is our special shout out to our very first follower SuzyHomaker we love you!!!!

Don't forget to leave a comment and tell us about your favorite kinds of needles and your goals for the year.

It' offical!

We're on Itunes as an offical podcast!! YaY for us!

Epidsode 1: Intro and School

This is our first Podcast, we made it pretty basic and just did a little introduction.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/cmy8156yqp92hwq/Episode1.mp3
(Episode Length: 15:42)

Katherine:
Knitting for 6 years, pre-med & Chem major
On the needles: Hooded Tunic by Helen Hamann, The Classic Sock by Melissa Morgan-Oakes, and redoing Quick Cable Slouch Hat by Azure

Kristin:
Knitting for almost 2 years, Business administration major
On the needles: simple baby blanket

This was our third try and trying to make this podcast so we sound a little rushed cause we just wanted to try and get it right this time. Next time I promise we will have more content. Like we said if you have any topics or questions for us we would love to hear them!

Besides the quick intro of who we are we talked a little about school and knitting during classes. I found it to be useful in helping me concentrate when I just had to sit and listen to the teacher and take minimum notes. However I don't really knit when I have to constantly take notes. Kristin has only really knit during the two classes we took in the summer of 2009 because she kept falling asleep. We gave some stories and talked a little about that. Then we talked a little about our knitting and how Kristin cried when she thought I was selling her hat! Silly girl haha.

As I mentioned we are going to try and interview yarn stores near us, so if anyone knows of any Indiana yarn shops go ahead and send us a message and we'll try and go interview them when we're free.

Love you all!
